ICUDDR is a global consortium of universities which offer undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate study programs specifically focusing on the transfer and adaptation of the science of prevention and treatment of substance use disorders. ICUDDR has institutional (not individual) membership and individual members represent their universities, colleges or other academic or research institutions.

ICUDDR provides an opportunity for universities and institutions of higher learning to share their expertise as well as to support instructors, faculty and trainers in teaching the science of substance use and substance use disorders. We also support members’ development of applied research and community internship programs for students so that evidence based programming is better disseminated and used in practice.

We welcome universities who do not yet have drug demand or addiction studies programs but are interested in joining so that they can access the curricula and expertise of other members as they develop new programming.
